The 9th Panhellenic Trails Meeting is approaching and Polykastro is preparing to welcome lovers of hiking, nature and outdoor activities from every corner of Greece. From 9–11 October 2026, Polykastro The Municipality of Paionia in Kilkis will host the largest annual event dedicated to trails, hiking and sustainable tourism in Greece.
With a view to ensuring the smooth running of the 9th Panhellenic Meeting, the organisers are calling for volunteers who wish to be part of this important celebration. Their contribution will be crucial, as their active participation will help to strengthen the organisation and hosting of the event, offering a unique experience to those taking part.
The first meeting of the volunteers will take place on Tuesday, 16 June, at 7.30 pm, at 27 Agiou Athanasios Street, Polykastro. During the meeting, there will be an introduction to the participants, information about the organisation’s needs and the allocation of roles, depending on each person’s interests and skills. The teams of volunteers will assist with tasks such as welcoming visitors, providing administrative support, guiding visitors on tours, organising events and other activities that will form part of the meeting.
Participation is a unique opportunity for those who wish to gain valuable experience and actively contribute to an organisation that promotes nature-based tourism, a culture of hiking and a love for the environment.
With the slogan “Alone we go fast, but together we go far… and we open up new paths”, the organisers invite all interested parties to take part in this great celebration and help make the 9th Panhellenic Trails Meeting a success.
