The Municipality of Gortyna is organising an information event with the aim of presenting the “Asterousia Trails” hiking trails, the Asterousia trail network.
The project involves the creation and promotion of a network of 11 hiking trails in Asterousia, including signage, mapping initiatives, as well as promotional and information activities for visitors, with the ultimate aim of protecting nature, boosting nature-based tourism and ensuring the sustainable development of the area.
The information event will take place on Friday, 22 May 2026, at 18:30, at the Polycentre of the Heraklion Municipality. The initiative is aimed at organisations involved in hiking, tourism and outdoor activities, as well as the general public in Heraklion.
