The Municipality of Gortyna is organizing an information event with the aim of presenting the “Asterousia Trails” hiking trails, the network of trails of Asterousia.
The project concerns the creation and promotion of a network of 11 hiking trails in Asterousia, with signage, mapping interventions, as well as promotion and information actions for visitors with the ultimate goal of protecting nature, strengthening nature tourism and the gentle development of the area.
The information event will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 18:30, at the Polycenter of the Heraklion Municipality. The action is addressed to bodies related to hiking, tourism and outdoor activities, as well as to the general public of Heraklion.
