
The Pan-Cretan Conference “Cretan Cultivation 2026” will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the MAICH Conference Center in Chania, with free admission for the public. This year’s event focuses on the redesign of the primary sector and experiential gastronomy, highlighting the modern challenges and new prospects of Cretan agri-food.
The Conference is organized by the Chamber of Chania, the Regional Development Company of Crete, the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICH) and Cretan Business, and is held with the support of the Region of Crete and under the auspices of important institutions and organizations.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend talks on the agri-food value chain, climate change, technology and geoinformatics, farmer education, innovation in olive oil, wine tourism, sheep and goat farming and agri-food and tourism synergies, while the Greek Gastronomy Chefs Club will present Cretan delicacies and lunch dishes, lending a strong experiential character to the event.
The Conference is an institution for the promotion of Cretan production, innovation and entrepreneurship, connecting the primary sector with gastronomy, tourism and the local economy.
