Open Doors at the Wineries of Crete. A two-day event full of Cretan wine 17 & 18 May 2025

Wine lovers and visitors from all over Greece will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique tasting and travel experience by taking part in “Open Cellar Doors” which is organised jointly by Greek wine producers’ associations and their member wineries.

“Open Cellar Doors” is an initiative of the European network of wine cities, in which Greece participates. The aim of this initiative is to organise “events” focusing on the wine produced by each winery open to the public. The events will encourage customers to get to know Greek wine and the winemakers.

On Saturday 17 May and Sunday 18 May 2025, from 11 o’clock in the morning to At 7 pm, wine lovers will have the opportunity to explore the Wine Routes of Greece and take part in a range of activities, including tours, tastings, competitions with great prizes and other surprises. It is worth noting that entry to the wineries on 17–18 May is free.

Plan your own “getaway” now and create your own wine tour. No matter where you are in Greece, head out into the countryside and visit one or more wineries.

Immerse yourselves in the magical world of wine, enjoy the vineyard setting, learn about the winemaking process and taste exceptional Greek wines.
