The American Agricultural School is implementing a seminar on rural tourism, with the aim of developing the skills of those who are active or wish to be active in this sector!
The seminar is designed to provide trainees with all the necessary practical and theoretical knowledge regarding alternative forms of tourism that seek to create positive social, cultural and environmental impacts. It presents in detail ways and good practices of business activity in the rural tourism sector in Greece and abroad. For this reason, in addition to the speaker, entrepreneurs in the sector will be invited to the seminar, describing their personal experience.
Upon completion of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- Plan and offer rural and agritourism activities and services throughout the year.
- Organize and manage their business, incorporating international quality standards into their services.
- Understand and adapt the services offered to the needs and motivations of different potential customers.
- Prepare marketing strategy elements and participate in industry promotion networks.
- Submit proposals for funding from European and national programs.
In addition, after a theoretical examination, participants will have the opportunity (optionally) to be certified as a Manager of an Agritourism Unit through ACTA, which is the organization that issues the certificate.
The seminar is aimed at:
- Entrepreneurs and/or staff in the agricultural and rural tourism sector
- Farmers and livestock farmers who want to exploit their farm for tourism
- Producers who standardize agri-food products
- Potential entrepreneurs in the sector
