Among the places on the planet that remain authentic, qualitative and unchanged by overtourism.

Among the ten “remaining paradises” of the world that one should visit, Karpathos is included, according to news18.com.

The journalistic team of the international news website collected data on the places on the planet that remain authentic, qualitative and unchanged by overtourism. Among destinations from Spain, Italy, Greenland, Georgia, Greece, India, Chile and the Faroe Islands, the news18.com list includes Karpathos in 6th place.

According to the popular website, “Karpathos maintains its authentic character and offers a refreshing experience far from the ordinary. Beaches with wild beauty, imposing mountain landscapes and picturesque villages where local customs remain alive, make up an ideal destination with a wide range of alternative options.

It is noted that with funding secured by the municipality from the South Aegean Region, two new projects are expected to be launched for the development of thematic forms of tourism and the enhancement of the travel experience, which will concern the creation and exploitation of new climbing areas and walking routes.

At the same time, through the permanent desalination units, the supply of 300 cubic meters of water per day will be ensured for the Local Community of Aperi Karpathos throughout the year, substantially enhancing the water supply adequacy of the area.
