Karaiskos Agritourism Farm

Karaiskos Agritourism Farm is an agritourism destination situated in Portaria, Pelion, Greece. It covers a rural estate where organic vegetables are grown and a variety of farm animals are reared. The farm offers a wide range of educational and hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages, including guided farm tours, animal care activities and traditional cooking workshops. In addition, it features a restaurant that prepares dishes using fresh ingredients sourced from the farm itself and from local producers in the Pelion region. The facilities are also suitable for hosting private and corporate events. The farm’s main objective is to introduce visitors to rural life, nature and the rich gastronomic heritage of Pelion. By combining recreation, education and authentic local experiences, Karaiskos Farm provides a unique opportunity for guests to reconnect with the countryside, away from the urban environment.

We chose to join the epaithros+ Cluster because we believe in the power of collaboration and the exchange of experiences for the development of the Greek countryside. One of our main motivations is to network with people who love their local area and work to promote local produce, nature and tradition. We also believe that agritourism can make a substantial contribution to local prosperity, provided it is based on respect for the environment, the local community and the cultural identity of each region. We believe in a low-impact, small-scale form of tourism that offers authentic experiences to visitors and supports the local economy without placing an undue burden on the area. Through epaithros+, we aim to meet people who share our values, exchange ideas and work together to promote high-quality, authentic agritourism.
