The Region of Crete, in collaboration with the University of Crete, is implementing the Project “Regional Mechanism for Diagnosing the Needs of the Labor Market of the Region of Crete“, with the aim of mapping the situation and development of the labor market of Crete, identifying the weaknesses and pathologies of the market and formulating proposals and interventions, especially in the direction of training.

The broad participation of Cretan businesses is a decisive factor for the successful completion of the research and the realistic depiction of the labor market of Crete, as it is crucial to have broad and representative participation from all activities, all sizes and all Municipalities of Crete.
The businesses that will ultimately be selected based on specific geographical and economic criteria in accordance with the sample specifications will receive direct information from the Market and Entrepreneurship Research Unit of the University of Crete to complete an online questionnaire on an annual basis for the years 2025, 2026 and 2027, regarding the demography of the businesses, their financial characteristics and their activity, the composition of their staff, their needs in professions and skills and their opinion on the economy and the labor market and their prospects.
The information collected through the questionnaires is STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL and the data will be presented only in aggregate form and not at the company level. It is noted that there are no direct benefits for the participating companies. Their participation will help to correctly capture the situation and development of the economy and the labor market of Crete.
