Hilton launches AI-powered travel planning tool in beta

Hilton (NYSE:HLT) today announced the launch of Hilton AI Planner, a digital concierge powered by generative AI, now available on beta on hilton.com. The hospitality giant, with a market cap of $69.6 billion, has seen its stock rise 27% over the past year to $303.46, though InvestingPro analysis suggests the shares are currently trading above their fair value.

The tool uses conversational intelligence to provide real-time answers for travelers exploring Hilton’s portfolio of hotels and planning stays, according to a press release. The AI ​​Planner helps users navigate destination selection, compare properties and explore amenities through curated recommendations.

The beta will initially be available to a limited number of guests on Hilton.com before expanding to more users as the tool develops. Hilton plans to collect insights from user behavior and feedback to improve the platform over time.

“The launch of Hilton AI Planner marks another step forward in our journey to redefine the travel experience for Hilton guests,” said Michael Leidinger, senior vice president and chief information officer at Hilton.

The company is positioning AI Planner as part of its broader technology initiatives, which include Digital Key, Connected Room and Confirmed Connecting Room features. Hilton operates more than 9,100 properties in 143 countries and territories across 26 brands. The company’s operating efficiency is reflected in its impressive 78% gross profit margin, with 14 analysts recently revising their earnings estimates for the upcoming period, according to InvestingPro, which tracks 12 additional ProTips for HLT investors.

The Hilton Honors loyalty program has more than 243 million members who can book directly through the company’s platforms. The program allows members to earn points for hotel stays and access features through the Hilton Honors mobile app, including room selection, mobile check-in and digital key access.
