The Municipality of Gortyna is organizing an informational event on the topic “The Environment of the Asterousia Mountains,” within the framework of the creation of the “Asterousia Trails” hiking routes network.
The project concerns the creation and promotion of a network of 11 hiking routes in the Asterousia Mountains, including signage and mapping interventions, as well as promotional and informational activities for residents and visitors, with the ultimate goal of protecting nature, strengthening nature-based tourism, and supporting the sustainable development of the area.
The event will take place at the hall of the Cultural Association in Stavies, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 19:00, with the aim of informing the local community and organizations of the Asterousia region.
