For the third consecutive year, Bizrupt and The People’s Trust of the Athanasios K. Laskarides Public Benefit Foundation, with the support of DOTANK Plus, join forces to strengthen the ecosystem of sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation in Crete.
The successful incubator GrowCrete returns, offering supplies, guidance and funding to those who want to transform a sustainable idea into a successful business with a positive footprint.
Who is it for
The program is open to people over 18 years old who reside in Crete or wish to return to the island to start their own business. Specifically, GrowCrete is looking for:
- New business ideas that incorporate sustainable development principles.
- Existing new businesses looking to expand their “green” and social practices.
- Civil Society groups with a vision of a positive, sustainable impact on the local community.
What do participants gain
The incubator lasts 4 months and offers a comprehensive support package:
- Cash Prizes: A total donation of €5,000 from The People’s Trust for the three winning ideas (€2,500, €1,500 and €1,000 respectively).
- Training: Specialized masterclasses on entrepreneurship and sustainability.
- Coaching: Personalized and ongoing guidance from experienced market executives.
- Networking: Networking with the market and access to further funding opportunities.

The People’s Trust of the Athanasios K. Laskarides Public Benefit Foundation is a privately funded non-profit organization that supports newly established and existing small businesses of all sectors. It provides grants of up to €15,000 and free business development services for its beneficiaries. The organization prioritizes the creation of new jobs through immediately viable businesses for which there are no other sources of funding.
