For the third year running, Bizrupt and The People’s Trust of the Athanasios K. Laskarides Public Benefit Foundation, with the support of DOTANK Plus, join forces to strengthen the ecosystem of sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation in Crete.
The successful incubator GrowCrete returns, offering resources, guidance and funding to those who wish to turn a sustainable idea into a successful business with a positive environmental impact.
Who is it for?
The programme is open to people aged 18 or over who live in Crete or wish to return to the island to set up their own business. Specifically, GrowCrete is looking for:
- New business ideas that incorporate the principles of sustainable development.
- Existing new businesses looking to expand their “green” and social initiatives.
- Civil society organisations with a vision of making a positive, sustainable impact on the local community.
What do participants gain?
The incubator runs for 4 months and offers a comprehensive support package:
- Cash Prizes: A total donation of €5,000 from The People’s Trust for the three winning ideas (€2,500, €1,500 and €1,000 respectively).
- Training: Specialised masterclasses on entrepreneurship and sustainability.
- Coaching: Personalised and ongoing guidance from experienced market executives.
- Networking: Networking with the market and access to further funding opportunities.
Interested parties can submit their application online at https://growcrete.bizrupt.gr until 6 May 2026. The programme will officially begin on 19 May.

About The People’s Trust
The People’s Trust of the Athanasios K. Laskarides Public Benefit Foundation is a privately funded non-profit organisation that supports newly established and existing small businesses across all sectors. It provides grants of up to €15,000 and free business development services to its beneficiaries. The organisation prioritises the creation of new jobs through immediately viable businesses for which there are no other sources of funding.
