On the occasion of World Wine Tourism Day at Sunday, 9 November 2025, the Wines of Crete Network opens its doors to a unique celebration of taste, tradition and extroversion, inviting wine lovers from Greece and abroad to discover the Cretan vineyard. From 11:00 to 17:00, the member wineries of Wines of Crete are preparing to welcome hundreds of wine lovers. Participation is steadily increasing every year, highlighting Crete as a leading wine tourism destination.

In the context of the emphasis on extroversion and to promote the overall Cretan experience, Wines of Crete is expanding its activities by inviting restaurants in Crete to collaborate. The aim is to provide a a comprehensive gastronomic offering to visitors, combining a tour of the winery with a meal.
The successful initiative “Bring your own wine” continues! Wine lovers will be able to enjoy the wine they bought from the winery at partner restaurants located along the Wine Roads of Crete, without an additional corkage fee, only for Sunday, 9 November 2025.
It should be noted that, for the purposes of the restaurant’s tax registration in the event of a tax audit, the customer must provide proof of purchase of the bottle from the winery.
