The second event is organised by the Association of Mountain Guides of Crete within the framework of the World Mountain Day on the theme of Hiking and Mountaineering Tourism at Tuesday, 2 December 2025 at 18:00 in the hall of the House of Culture (12 Emmanouil Vernadou) in Rethymno.
The aim of the event is to promote, support and continually raise the profile of hiking and mountaineering tourism in Crete, and to inform the public about this alternative form of tourism.
The event is organised with the support of the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Rethymno and the Psiloritis Geopark and admission is free.
