Rural Tourism Cluster

epaithros+ makes a dynamic appearance at BEYOND Expo 2026

The Rural Tourism Cluster epaithros+ took part for the first time in the international technology and innovation exhibition BEYOND Expo 2026, at the joint stand of the Region of Crete and the Observatory of Innovative Entrepreneurship (IBO), from 17 to 19 June at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens, presenting its work and initiating new discussions on sustainable rural tourism.

During the exhibition, the epaithros+ team had the opportunity to meet tourism professionals, organisations and technology companies, to exchange ideas and explore new collaborations through targeted B2B meetings.

Cluster epaithros+ also took part in the thematic working group on “Artificial Intelligence in SMEs, manufacturing and tourism”, as part of the 3rd AI Collaboration Room. The discussion centred on how Artificial Intelligence can contribute to the development and operational empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises, opening up new avenues for innovation and practical solutions.

Throughout the three-day event, the public had the opportunity to get to know epaithros+ and the Rural Greece experience the travel platform first-hand, through presentations and informative material at the network’s stand.

The Cluster was represented by Nikos Draconakis, President & CEO of ETAM S.A., Dr. Chryssa Pagalou, General Manager of ETAM and Coordinator of the epaithros+ Cluster, and Georgios Pagalos, Entrepreneurship Officer at ETAM S.A. – IBO.
