The KION.SEP. “Crete Hinterland – Inland” is active in promoting the cultural heritage, gastronomy, local production and sustainable development of the Cretan countryside through educational, cultural and tourist activities. At the heart of this effort is Cretan Gea, a space of experiences dedicated to Cretan cuisine, nature and traditional knowledge. Our philosophy is based on authenticity and the use of pure, local products: olive oil from our own olive trees, vegetables and wild greens from our garden, as well as fresh herbs collected at the moment of cooking. Visitors actively participate in the entire process from collecting the ingredients to preparing and sharing the food. At the same time, through activities such as traditional workshops, contact with nature and agricultural experiences, we offer a comprehensive introduction to the Cretan way of life. Our goal is to create authentic experiences that unite people with the land, food and culture of Crete.
Our participation in the Cluster epaithros+ strengthens our vision for the promotion of cultural heritage, local gastronomy and sustainable development of the Cretan hinterland through collaborative and innovative actions.
