Careterra designs and delivers experiential outdoor education, cultural activities, and environmentally responsible experiences in nature, with the aim of connecting people, places, and communities. Our activities include hiking, climbing, yoga and acroyoga camps, wellness retreats, cultural walking tours, and educational workshops on natural building, traditional techniques using natural materials, soapmaking, school gardens, and environmental learning. We’ve also developped a Community-Supported Agriculture network and collaborate with tourism, educational, and social care organizations, highlighting the natural and cultural heritage of each place while promoting wellbeing, local cooperation, and a sustainable relationship with the environment.
We believe that nature belongs to everyone and create safe and inclusive spaces for people of different ages, abilities, and needs, including older adults, people with mild cognitive impairment or dementia, people living with or beyond cancer, neurodivergent people, and children. Through our work, we foster wellbeing, social connection, personal empowerment, and a sustainable relationship with the natural and cultural environment. We envision nature as a space for freedom, equality, wellbeing, and collective empowerment!
We chose to join epaithros+ cluster to develop partnerships that will help us transform our ideas into sustainable and socially innovative programs with greater impact on the community.
