The “Cretan Hospitality” action, within the framework of the mission of the magazine and the journalistic portal “Cretan Business”, is implementing an event for hospitality and experiential tourism for another year.
The 5th Conference, co-organized by the Municipality of Sitia, the Panhellenic Federation of Hotel Managers (PODIX) and the Sitia Development Organization, is being organized this year in Sitia, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, under the title “Hospitality & Experiential Tourism”, having as its main theme the interaction of hospitality with the life experiences that Crete offers to visitors.
Sitia, with its unique identity, is an ideal example of a place where hospitality is not a service, but a way of life. The conference comes to give a platform to people in the area who build daily experiences with respect, quality and love for their place.
Through presentations, good practices and dialogues, an attempt is made to highlight the role of the human factor, local culture and authentic contact in the new tourism model that is being formed.
Experiential tourism and hospitality are not simply connected – one exists within the other. In fact, hospitality is the “soul” of experiential tourism.
The “Cretan Hospitality” action is implemented with the support of local organizations, businesses and tourism professionals who believe in a tourism model centered on people and authenticity.
Objectives of the conference

- To showcase examples of local businesses and organizations implementing innovative practices.
- To strengthen the connection of tourism with culture, tradition and the primary sector.
- To create a space for dialogue and cooperation between professionals, local authorities and society.
