The Municipality of Chania is organising, for the third year running, the “260KMemories Festival”, a three-day Alternative Tourism & Experiences Festival, which will take place from 16 to 18 May 2025, at Katechaki Square, in the Venetian Harbour of Chania, from 18:00 to 23:00.
The aim of the 260KMemories Festival is to showcase the dynamic initiatives organised throughout the year by organisations and individuals in Crete, offering both visitors and locals a wide range of experiences and alternative activities.
During the three-day festival, professionals, institutions and groups from all over Crete Those active in the fields of alternative tourism and experience-based tourism will take part. They will showcase their services and activities at the Alternative Tourism Exhibition, which will be held at Katechaki Square. A special themed section will also be dedicated to religious tourism.
As every year, the festival will feature a range of engaging activities (a homemade wine competition, an icon-painting workshop, a stargazing session, a demonstration of traditional Sfakian pie-making, a floor game about sea turtles and a live performance by a Byzantine choir).
