With particularly positive feedback from professionals, institutions, and visitors, the participation of epaithros+ and Rural Greece in the 4th Alternative Tourism & Experiences Festival “260Kmemories Festival” was successfully completed. The event took place from Friday 8 May to Sunday 10 May at the Venetian Harbor of Chania and was organized with remarkable success by the Municipality of Chania.
Throughout the festival, the epaithros+ and Rural Greece booth became a meeting point for tourism professionals, rural businesses, and visitors seeking authentic experiences and new destinations across the Greek countryside. Interest was strong both from professionals already active in the sector and from those exploring ways to integrate more sustainable and experiential practices into their work.

During the three day event, the network’s team engaged with visitors from Greece and abroad, presenting the Rural Greece platform, its thematic routes, and the experiences featured on the website. Particular attention was drawn to the countryside routes, nature based activities, and opportunities to explore lesser known areas of Greece. Informational material was distributed, and meaningful discussions took place around the needs and prospects of rural tourism.
On the final day of the festival, the spatial/open meeting of epaithros+ and Rural Greece was held at the network’s booth. The session provided an opportunity for more focused updates on the network’s actions, thematic routes, and participation opportunities. The response was highly positive, confirming the need for collective initiatives and coordinated efforts in the field of rural tourism.

At the same time, interactions with other exhibitors and institutional representatives highlighted the growing momentum in the sector, with shared interest in collaborations and synergies that can strengthen local entrepreneurship and promote authentic rural experiences across Greece.
The Rural Tourism Cluster epaithros+ warmly thanks everyone who visited the booth, engaged with the team, and shared ideas, suggestions, and thoughts about the future of the sector. The cluster will continue to actively participate in initiatives and events that support rural development and showcase authentic destinations and experiences throughout Greece.
